The University of Alabama Student Center is the heart of campus. We host different events and programs for students, student organizations, University departments, faculty and staff. We also partner with student groups and University departments to organize events for the student body. In addition, we have spaces available for reservation by student organizations and university departments.

The University of Alabama Student Center serves to enhance the student and UA community experience by providing physical space and services that build community, develop leaders, support programs and promote student learning, development and community.

Role of the College Union 

The college union advances a sense of community by connecting students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests. We enhance the institution’s educational mission and support students’ lifelong learning through a wide range of cultural, educational, social, and recreational programs, services, and facilities. 

As the central hub of campus life, we create a welcoming environment by: 

  • Focusing on student needs through collaborative decision-making and holistic development opportunities. 
  • Promoting a sense of fairness and respect while recognizing individual identities. 
  • Offering leadership education and global engagement experiences. 
  • Providing spaces for both formal and informal interactions that build meaningful relationships. 

Viewed as the heart of campus, the college union enriches the student experience and deepens connections with the institution.
